Franklin Callfas of Intuitive Engineering Services brings over 30 years of experience in the implementation of fire suppression, fire detection, alarm systems, and passive fire protection, utilizing advanced computerized performance evaluation techniques.

In recent years, Franklin has authored over 500 Engineering Judgment reports, which have been instrumental in the successful appeal of Alternate Means and Methods (AM&M) applications across numerous jurisdictions throughout the United States. By applying rigorous fire science principles, along with detailed exceptions, he clarifies the intent behind building and fire codes. His portfolio includes the design of high- and low-expansion foam suppression systems for both military and civilian aircraft hangars; specialized hazard suppression systems for warehouses; and gas detection and fire suppression systems for upstream oil and gas facilities on the Alaskan North Slope. Additionally, he has designed clean agent suppression systems for hospitals, laboratories, high-tech facilities, and light rail systems.

Franklin is well-versed in ICC Codes and NFPA Standards pertaining to fire detection and fire sprinkler systems. He also excels in the application of SFPE standards and risk analysis methodologies for structural fires.
