Hillsboro, OR

At the time of construction, this was Americas largest CLT framed building. I operated as the Fire Protection Engineer of Record, responsible for coordination with the AHJ and developing (EJ) Engineering Judgment letters and AMMR (Alternate Materials, Methods request) to provide and engineering evaluation of the assembly fire rating.   the AHJ to account for the dearth of available (at the time) ASTM E119 fire tested of the steel/wood connections. 

Corvallis, OR

Oregon State University (Department of Wood Science and Engineering).  Intended to construct a groundbreaking project, utilizing the first post-tensioned CLT core wall designs while simultaneously progressing the Oregon wood industry to develop mass timber production.  Assisted the Vancouver BC Architect with US Codes, Standards and applications.   

Ellensburg, WA

Central Washington University,  WA  Health Education Center (Nicholson Pavilion). Developed fire sprinkler coordination and  installation bid packages (SD, DD, CD, CA) (Site planning, BIM Coordinated piping and project Specifications). 191,000 SF existing athletic facility to be renovated in 9 phases.   

Eugene, OR

A new style, 6-story apartment building, the first utilizing CLT construction in Eugene. Provided a supporting role for the architect, in reviewing and responding the building department review comments regarding clarification of several wall and joint assemblies with dissimilar materials. 

Coeur d'Alene, ID

Kootenai Heart Center Expansion.   Intuitive Engineering has been asked to provide engineering packages for SD & DD with project support through CA phase for addition and renovation.  (Coordinated  with civil to locate underground vault and coordinated feed through existing mechanical plant, BIM coordinated piping and project specifications).  21,000 SF, (3)-Story addition along with phased renovations throughout  operating hospital.

Bismarck Region, ND

Garrison Dam, 230 KV Transformer Replacement –North Dakota.  Project fire Protection Engineer, responsible for the design of a new facility Fire Pump, complete fire alarm replacement and a deluge spray fire suppression system for (5) five,  3-Story oil filled transformers. 

Spokane, WA

The 155,000 SF South Hill Middle School a new building in Spokane, Washington.  .  Intuitive Engineering has been asked to provide engineering packages for SD & DD with project support through CA phase. Value engineering was a stated goal with preliminary mechanical coordination critical to keep the project under district budget. 

Bellingham, WA

The Bellingham Alpha Airpark project  in Bellingham, Washington consists of (2) two, 40,000 SF Hangars. Developed the project Basis of Design documents.   Design basis (referencing IBC/IFC codes with fire suppression per NFPA 409 and Fire Alarm detection/notification per NFPA 72) provided a guideline for developing the design packages from the design/build project team. Intuitive Engineering has been tasked to complete responsibilities as (EOR) Engineering of Record and CA support during installation.
